Obituary of Vall Wright
Vall I. Wright, 61, World War II veteran
World War II veteran Vall I. Wright died Jan. 5 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Del Norte. He was 61.
Mr. Wright was born Nov. 14, 1925 to Chester and Pauline Wright in Center.
Mr. Wright's special interests were the Methodist Chuch and he was involved in the Elks and the Monte Vista American Legion.
He formerly owned a Conoco Gas Station and was the owner of Monte Vista Muffler.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Wright, and son Ivan Wright of Center.
Also surviving are two daughters; Cathy Chisholm, Monte Vista and Tammy Wright of Monte Vista and two brothers Jim Wright, Monterey, Calif. and Ralph Wright of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Mr. Wright is also survived by six grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Wright were Jan. 8 at Chambers and Sharp Memorial Chapel in Monte Vista and he was buried at Davis-Wallin Crematory in Pueblo.

Obituary of V. Iona Taylor
V. Iona Taylor, 94, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to John H. and Velda M. (Rush) Ellis on August 10, 1915. Iona grew up in Lincoln and attended UNL. She married Carl Taylor in 1949, and two sons were born to this union. She attended St. James United Methodist Church for many years.
Survivors: Son & Daughter-in-law: Marvin Taylor and Wendy Rhoades, Lincoln; Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren; Brother: John D. Ellis; Many nieces. Preceded in death by: Husband, Carl Taylor, son, Bruce Taylor, & brother, Marvin Ellis.
