Abraham was a tailor by trade and also a farmer. He moved to Ohio about 1831-33, and to Indiana in 1852. He and his wife Hannah were members of the Methodist Church. Abraham sold his farm in Richland Township, Miami County, Chili, Indiana on November 25, 1869. This may have been about the time he moved to Missouri.
