"Mary Bagley (1234) was born on 22 Nov 1768 in Salisbury, Essex, Mass (Stackpole, Durham, Maine.). She was christened on 7 Apr 1771. She died on 8 Oct 1857 at age 88 (Maine Old Cemetery Association, MOCA, Oxford Co. Greenwood City Cemetery, age 88 years 10 months 17 days.). She was buried in Greenwood, Oxford, Maine. Mary was the daughter of Orlando Israel and Mary (Snow) Bagley."

An inn built by Captain Bagley in 1772 still stands in Durham, Maine. Today it is a bed-and-breakfast, called the “Royalsborough Inn at Bagley House,” and is the oldest house in Durham. Capt. Bagley also built a road in Durham, which today is known as the River Road.
A stone in a small cemetery in Strong, Maine reportedly bears this inscription:
BAGLEY
O. Israel BAGLEY, Capt.
Mary, his widow d. 2-24-1823 age 74y
I have no proof that the people buried here are my ancestors Capt. Orlando Israel Bagley and Mary (Snow) Bagley; however, the names and dates are consistent with that assumption. My ancestor Capt. Bagley is known to have lived in Royalsborough (now Durham) Maine, which is about 50 miles south of Strong. See The Toothaker Hill Cemetery for more details.
